Welcome to the website of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee. I hope you find the information available on this site useful, informative, and positive in tone.
Over the past several years our country has become divided down the middle, and many on both sides refuse to listen to the point of view of those on the other side. This precludes the potential for compromise and progress toward solving the important problems affecting our families and our country.
This website obviously presents our point of view, and hopefully will stimulate a dialog on issues important to all of us, with those who might agree with us, and those who might disagree. These issues include taxes, jobs, health care costs, education, the environment, energy, and national security. The more quality information we have (from both sides of the divide), the better our decisions will be.
Some of the goals of our local committee are –
 To work toward a government at federal, state and local levels which will fairly represent the interests of the people of Rappahannock County, whether rich or poor;
To support and foster public institutions, including the public schools, that improve the quality of life in the County; and
To encourage the participation of all Rappahannock residents in the political process.
