At last, we’ll have a Representative in DC who is fighting for rural Virginia.
Her new bipartisan bill, the AGRITOURISM Act, will boost our world-class wineries and breweries, small farms, dairies, and farmers markets!
The RCDC does not endorse any candidate during primary campaigns. Any Democratic candidate or candidate’s committee may add their Rappahannock County events to the RCDC calendar.
We look forward to seeing you at our next general meeting on Saturday, February 12 at 10 AM via Zoom.
(We hope to meet in person again in April!)
We’ll be joined by Lynlee Thorne, Political Director of Rural GroundGame, to talk about today’s politics in rural Virginia. Find out more about this organization at https://www.ruralgroundgame.org

Virginia’s Republican Governor Youngkin has set up a tip line to report ‘divisive’ teaching practices.
Youngkin said on The John Fredericks Show,
“We have set up a particular email address called firstname.lastname@example.org, again email@example.com, for parents to send us any instances where they feel their fundamental rights are being violated, where their children are not being respected, where there are inherently divisive practices in their schools.”
Below is the response by the Virginia Education Association.
Now more than ever, it’s important to protect election integrity.
The Rappahannock Democratic Committee is looking for Democrats willing to serve as election officials on Election Day at our six polling places in the county.
You only need to be a registered voter in your precinct and undergo a few hours of training. Each term is three years. And you’re paid for your time!

If you’re interested, please contact Mary-Sherman Willis before February 1 and we will send your name to the Electoral Board.
