Remember, you can vote in person at the Registrar’s Office, 262A Gay Street, 8 to 4. The office is open for in-person voting on Saturday 10/23 and 10/30. On Election Day November 2, polls are open 6 am to 7 pm.
Canvassing before Election Day
We’ll be knocking on doors to get out the vote on the weekends of 10/9, 10/16, 10/23 and the days leading up to Election Day, 11/2. We need volunteers to knock on doors and man the polls! Contact Chair Mary-Sherman Willis for more information
Rappahannock Candidates Forum October 16
The Rappahannock County Candidates Forum will be held on October 16 at the Rappahannock County High School from 6 to 9 pm. Bring your questions for the candidates for School Board and Board of Supervisors!
RCDC October General Meeting
Because Covid infection numbers are going down in the county, the 10-09-21 RCDC meeting will be a hybrid in-person/Zoom at the Rappahannock County Library (4 Library Rd, Washington). Doors open at 9:30 am for coffee and conversation. The meeting starts at 10. Masking is encouraged.

Immediately following the meeting, we’ll meet outside the library for our Get Out the Vote Door-knocking Launch. We’ll be focusing on the village of Sperryville, Washington, and Flint Hill.
So this is a call for volunteers! All you need is a cellphone and a car. It’s more fun with a partner. We’ll provide the lists and instructions. You’ll have the rest of the weekend to complete your list. And while you’re at it, pick up some signs and bumper stickers (hot off the presses!).
We’ll be canvassing every weekend until Election Day, November 2. Let’s get out the vote for McAuliffe, Ayala, Herring, and our own Doug Ward for Delegate—and Hold the Democratic Majority in Richmond!
2021 Women’s March October 2, 2021 in DC
The 2021 Women’s March happens this Saturday October 2. In Washington DC, there will be a Rally for Reproductive Rights starting at noon at Freedom Plaza (1455 Pennsylvania Avenue NW). March to the Supreme Court, which reconvenes next week to decide on Roe v. Wade.
